ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

Alexander started out designing dresses for his sisters at a young age.

At 16 Mcqueen landed an apprenticeship with Savile Row tailors Anderson and Sheppard.

At 20 he worked for Koji Tatsuno before moving to Milan to work for Romeo Gigli.

In 1994 he returned to school attending the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design from which he earned his masters in Fashion. After graduation Alexander launched his own line.

His runway collections had a reputation for controversy and shock which earned him the name of " the hooligan of English fashion".

In 1996 Mcqueen succeeded John Galliano as head designer at Givenchy.

Mcqueen was one of the youngest designers to achieve the title " British Designer of the Year", which he later won 2 more times.

Currently he has boutiques in New York, London, Los Angeles, Milan, and Las Vegas.
